And when I read the words that accompanied the recognition, it made the moment feel even more special:

To see The Wedding Nanny recognised internationally amongst so many incredible wedding professionals is something I don't think I'll ever take for granted.

From an Idea to International Recognition
When I created The Wedding Nanny®, I wasn't trying to create another wedding creche service.
I am a professional nanny who could see that there was a gap.
Couples were planning every detail of their wedding, but for those getting married with a baby or young child, there was very little specialist support that truly understood both worlds - professional nanny care and the realities of a wedding day.
I knew there was another way.
I wanted to create a service where a child's individual needs, routines and emotions could be considered alongside the couple's plans for their wedding.
A service that allowed children to remain part of those incredibly important family moments whilst having dedicated, professional care available throughout the day.
That idea became The Wedding Nanny®.
And seeing what it has grown into still feels quite surreal.
What Loverly's Recognition Means to Me
Loverly described its Best of the Best recognition as celebrating the work, creativity and impact wedding professionals have made within the wedding space.
For me, it's that word - impact - that means the most.
Because behind The Wedding Nanny isn't simply a business.
There are families.
There are parents who have trusted us with their babies and children on one of the most important days of their lives.
There are wedding mornings where we've quietly taken care of feeds and naps while preparations continue.
There are ceremonies where we've been watching for those early signs that a child needs a break.
There are photographs, wedding breakfasts, bedtime routines, evening celebrations and overnight stays.
And there are parents and grandparents who have been able to remain present because they knew their child was being cared for.
That's the impact I always wanted The Wedding Nanny to have.
Being Recognised for a Second Time
Receiving recognition once is incredibly special.
Receiving it for a second time means something different.
The Wedding Nanny has continued to grow and evolve, but the standards behind what we do haven't changed.
Professionalism.
Discretion.
Preparation.
Individual care.
And, above everything else, understanding the child we're there to care for.
We don't believe children should simply be expected to fit around an adult wedding schedule.
Our role is to understand what that individual child needs and work alongside the wedding day so they can be included in those precious family moments while still being able to eat, sleep, play, have quiet time and follow their routine as much as possible.
It's a very specialised role, and I'm incredibly proud to see that work recognised within the wider wedding industry.

More Than Wedding-Day Childcare
One of my biggest ambitions for The Wedding Nanny® has always been to change the conversation around childcare at weddings.
Professional wedding childcare isn't simply about having somebody available to watch the children.
There is so much more that goes on behind the scenes.
We plan.
We learn about each child before the wedding.
We consider their routines, feeds, naps, temperament and individual needs.
We think about the venue, timings and how the child's day will work alongside the wedding schedule.
And then, on the wedding day itself, we adapt.
Because anyone who works professionally with children knows that you can prepare for almost everything — but you can never completely predict how a baby or young child is going to feel on the day.
That's where experience matters.
